So I'm looking for a 599 I have looked around online and called a few dealerships, but I haven't found the right car yet. Perhaps somebody on here is considering selling theirs.... -2008-10 -Tour De France Blue or other unique color.(darker preferably) -Tasteful interior color(s)(I saw one that was Tour De France blue with red interior that I thought was stunning) -Short on miles and up to date with services -NO STORIES I posted on here because I want to deal with a private owner. I have money ready to go and providing that you have a title, this will be a swift and discreet process. BROKERS! PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING: I am happy to work with you, but please know that I WILL NOT send money ANYWHERE unless I speak with the lawful owner of the car. If you know of a 599 that fits the description, please put the OWNER and I in touch with one another rather than be the intermediary. It gets too complicated. THANKS!!!
FoH has one or two, including a 6 speed manual. There's one in FerrariAds but it's typical red/tan. The blue 599 Tour car was at Cavallino but I dunno if the Factory sent it, or it has been sold to the public?? It has a .25" aluminum skid plate.....I think that is a great idea.... Happy shopping!
The tdf car i saw was a few years back one of the first ones I believe. The guy put like 7k miles on it. really stunning contrast.
I was thinking EXACTLY that....but didn't want to post it. That yellow/yelow example makes my eyes bleed.....
SOMEONE did, (if the photos I recall were a 599), I cannot recall which model, Ok yellow interiors are OUT of consideration.
While on this topic a friend of mine is also in the hunt for a 599. Probably an 08 or 09. And OP......not to worry as he will go for red. My questions.... 1. How rare are 6 spd manuals? Any guess as to a percentage and total build numbers for US cars? 2. Is the HGTE package another rare option? What is in this pkg? Option price for this? 3. If the car is under warranty I have been told that the warranty can be extended year to year......at a cost of course. Is this a fact? Sorry for not searching the archives for this. I spend most of my time in vintage and Maranellos and don't know much about these 599 rocketships.
Steve- Probably in the 1-2% range for manual shifter 599s. The HGTE package is very common on 599s and nothing like as rare as the HGTC package on the 575s. After introduction, probably way over 50% of production. Plus numerous 599s were retrofitted. Here is the data on the retrofit package: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=252168 Someone else will have to help with cost and warranty, but it was not the $25K of the 575 HGTCs, which included CCMs that were already standard on 2008+ 599s. 1. Pretty rare. The manual transmissions haven't gotten good reviews, either-- search is your friend. They do seem to pop up for sale regularly, though, so they can't be all that rare-- or no one keeps them for long. 2. I'm guessing HGTE is sport exhaust, sport suspension, and maybe some different transmission software. 3. You can get an extended warranty, but it's expensive. That's something I'm starting to think about with my 612. I'm not sure it's worth the money-- both 599s and 612s seem to be pretty reliable cars.
lol how about considering white one? ok ill admit- TDF is great but white is cooler in my books (I'm really starting to feel as though I'm 12 years old again, pardon the immaturity)
