Do you like to go shopping with a woman?

  1. I look forward to it

  2. I'll go, but I rather not

  3. I would rather walk on a pit of rattlesnakes

  4. Hari Kari is a much better option

OK..Melodie and I got into it tonight! I hate shopping with her (Or any women). She can go into a store and wander around for an hour without seeing anything she wants to buy. If she says "Lets pop into Target, I need some laundry soap", I cringe at the thought, for I know I will be in there for an hour.

Am I alone here? When I need something, I run in and run out. I buy what I need and I'm history. I love her to death, but I just can't do the shopping thing!

There's only one girl I enjoy shopping with. I care less where we are, as long as she's around ... and as long as it's not MY money she's spending :D

I just hate shopping in any other situation. I even hate being around myself while shopping! LOL I have never even thought "I'm bored, let'***** the mall".

    A definite no-go!
Otherwise you get stuck with impossible-to-answer-questions like
"do I look fat in this?" which you try to answer NO to quick enough...

My girlfriend is awesome at shopping and shopping quickly. The card is always taking a hit but the fast times are worth it. However, shopping with any other woman is hard.

I feel your pain exactly. It's dreadful, I get this sinking depressed feeling whenever she mentions we need to do any type of shopping. We went to the mall about a month back and she had made me promise to her that she would get an entire day worth of shopping in because I tend to rush her along after the 7 or 8 hour mark and she doesn't get to "shop the way she wants to". Anyway, because her sister held us up, we didn't get to the mall till about 3:30 in the afternoon and we ended up closing the mall (like a drunk closes a bar), at 10:30. The wife was upset and said that that only counted as a half day. I still owe her the other half.

We hit a huge fight (as in she walked out of the car in traffic and took a cab home) a week or two later when I spent 12 and a half hours of my day making an Ikea run for a floor lamp and threw up an attitude after about the 10-hour mark.

I love my wife to no end. She's stunningly gorgious, got a great body, makes out with her hottest friends every time she gets a little tipsy, she's intelligent, funny, and lights up a room like no one else on Earth can when she smiles ... but dammit to hell I want to beat her unmercifully with a down pillow everytime she mentions shopping. Even the supermarket is a fuggin chore.

The only good thing I have to say is that she's good with our money. Very good in fact. She searches for the absolute best deals she can find, but therein lies the problem =)

Thank God for the internet. With the possible exception of shoes, I find no need to go to a retail store.

My wife has gotten into the catalog shopping, tends to order a lot and returns 90% which is OK. She, like me, would prefer the snakes to a mall.

I could never understand why women want to be in a store so long. Just go get what your looking for & get the hell out as fast as you can. I just try to make it a timed event & get it all done as fast as possible.

I learned not to shop with women a long time ago. Life is just too short to aimlessly wander from store to store, having to run in and examine/try on whatever catches her fancy.

Thanks to the Internet, almost everything I want/need can be delivered to my door.

Generally don't like going to the grocery store or the drug store - she takes for bloody ever and never has a list. I have managed to find places with a decent magazine selection so that dulls the pain a bit.

Malls are fine - I give her an hour, 1.5 hours, whatever and off we go our separate ways. Sometimes she doesn't have a watch on, and most of the time she is late (watch or no watch) but generally its working for us.

Plus our deal is that I pay for all of the "essentials" and she keeps all her money from her job so I don't have to worry about how much she spends as it is her own anyway.

Worst case, I'm sitting in the car listening to the radio which means that she isn't making me do something at home!!!!

    Cheers
    Kevin

Well, you're missing out. I bought 3 (delicious) filet mignon steaks for a whopping total of $6 yesterday and saw the nicest ass ever assume the position - displacing the former titleholder, which was last seen in 1997.

Damn - Maybe I am missing out. :) Must have been a very nice ass to displace the 7 year champ!

I don't mind the malls, etc as I feel spending money is good for the soul. I just can't deal with the grocery stores.

The malls are funny. There are so many nice looking gals at the South Coast plaza. I stare & mutter, "I love the mall." My wife just laughs at me.
