Bruce - Allan had more posts removed and/or threads closed than anybody. Think of it as a picnic or a potlatch: Everybody has something to bring to the table. But if something causes botulism, the picnic sends some people away sick. If you liken him to a fly, Allan laid maggots on the contents of our picnic. Mako was but one of those maggots who hatched, hovered, buzzed, made the picnic less than enjoyable. The less flies hovering around, the less flies get attracted to the scene. Mako got swatted. Allan got B-Gone. Enjoy the picnic.
What the heck is going on here? I may not have the most posts and is no way indicative of me being "a senior" on the board/in the know, but I remember a time when Allan bashed on everything that was Ferrari on the old F-chat yet he was not banned then? I remember when he bashed on Norwoods TT setups, but just recently he said that a TT512 looked like it would be a pretty cool car. That’s a guy I can crack open a beer (that’s if I drank of course). On the old F-chat I would think then would have been the time to ban him because most ppl didn’t like him, but now he is banned because of what? "Majority rules in a situation like this"(notice how that was quoted), or is it because this is my board and I can ban who I want when I want? Look at the thread in which this was a spin off "the deleted threads" Only a handful of ppl actually disagreed with him, and the majority of the people get this, agreed with him!! Smfuato (or what ever it is) seemed to be the only person who really started up crap, and hasn’t even been here as long as Allan "was" here, but everything was just "peachy keen" with his posts. If you didn’t like what to he had to say; as my mom would say, "well, tough ****". This is the real world we live in, not some kindergarten school. Stop being such *******!! Now I can understand if Allan were or I were to say I’m part of the "superior race" and all of you (insert negative racial slurs here) can die and kiss off every single day and every post then yes, that is indeed terms for banning. I think every person here would not tolerate that kind of behavior. Plus, just look at the numbers here on the poll. "The Majority" say they would like him to be a mod, what does that say? People like him, heck ppl like him enough to be a moderator!! That is what the majority is agreeing upon. I personally have never met Allan and shook his hand, but I actually "liked" him when he "was" a member. He always had something witty to say, and was pretty funny on a lot of posts. I enjoyed reading the things that he had to say. I would have never thought Allan would be banned because hes to much of a unique character. I’ll also have you know that I was unaware that Allan was most likely banned at the time when I had started this thread. Looks like Sunny is saying good bye to F-chat too.
If I were in control, there'd be other people that I'd ban. I never got into it with him, always thought he was an idiot and not worth the effort. The poll in favor of Allan is boosted by low count sandbaggers and interlopers. Hardly accurate by any means. This site is just flooded by the love and respect for him, about as much respect as he has for this site and the FERRARI OWNERS on it. Open your eyes....................................
