That's sad........sorry about that. Doesn't seem to be any major paint damage on the Ferrari. Same happened to me once......went into the garage one morning and found a neon ceiling lamp that came off the ceiling on the floor beside my previous F430. It made a small dent in the rear fender. I was really upset until I got it fixed properly without needing to paint the fender. Since then I have made some serious changes in all my garage ceiling lamps to prevent them from falling off again.
I hate weekends like that.... Actually looks like it'll hose right off. You been 4 wheeling in the 328? looks like you drove though a mud bog by the looks of that rear tire...
I LOVE THE LANCIA parked next to that Ferrari. I had a 79 Zagato almost 15 years ago. To this day, it remains my favorite car I have ever owned (that is until my Ferrari comes). I had an a 1980 Lancia Spider and a couple of Betas just to keep that one car running. Is yours stock? What year? How long have you had her? Just seeing one of those cars brings back such fond memories. It is almost impossible to find one in halfway decent condition these days...believe me I have looked. I am almost embarrassed by the amount of money I spent modifying and rebuilding mine. Let's just say I could have bought a decent 308 for the money. Nonetheless, it was money well spent. Every trip was an adventure and there is nothing more fun than driving a slow car fast, especially when it is italian, with straight pipes and an Ansa exhaust! Good luck with the Ferrari, it doesn't look so bad. As for the Lancia...you are my new best friend!!!!!
Sorry to see that, but like others have said, it could have been worse. Any reason as to why the sheetrock would just come down like that??
I can't believe it didn't bend your antenna. The sheetrock must have fallen around it. On a side bar, I don't know why, but my Dad used to call it, shiitrock.
Damn, if someone stuck a Lancia in my garage like that ... I feel your pain. (Seriously, looks scary but I think it should be fine. )
Wow, what exactly happened to cause this. Far as I know Texas isn't earthquake country!(what I worrry about with all the crap in my garage around the car). Hope it's OK! Jeff
We had a couple of days of literal monsoons here recently. Was it a water problem that caused the cavein, Tillman? Hope your car's OK.
I came out to see this on a Saturday about 8 months ago. I've been reluctant to show these... *sad*... Gene Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
These pix make me think about my garage. My shelves are right next to the Fcar and they are not secured to the wall. I can tell you, they will be this weekend. There have been some minor quakes in the region lately. Did the wind get in the eaves and exit your garage ceiling?
On a related note, if your garage door has those long coil springs down either side, make sure they have the retaining cable down the middle of the coil -- especially if it's an older door (that didn't come with them). That way, if the springs break, they don't whip all over the garage. That was the first thing I had done in the garage when I moved (along with the opener). When you fix that ceiling, make sure all the fasteners are tight, and do a FOD walkdown before pulling the car in. After ceiling work, you can wind up with nails or screws magically appearing on the floor -- right where the tires will find them.
Maybe you should look here! He might still be persuaded. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=178164 Ok, THAT was just damn funny!

The Second photo is my 308 Qv with two of my Scorpions on the way to the Best of France and Italy Car show. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well Mike..... if I'm ever in the area and need a spare part (under cover of darkness ;-) I know where to come! PS. don't forget...... it's Montecarlo NOT Monte Carlo. I excuse you this time because most/all of your cars are Scorpions!
