at some point it will become a mathematical impossibility for Vettel.
So, why not favor Kimi so that he may overtake Bottas and finish his career at Ferrari and the season with a third place

At least Ferrari would have a second and a third place in the 2018 drivers championship.

No. Put Leclerc in the car. Who cares about Kimi or Vettel. Get ready for next year.

Even better: put Leclerc and Nando in the car.

Even better, put Yuji Ide and Maldonado in the car.

Seriously: it doesn't matter if he finishes 3rd or 4th, so GTFO.

At this point I’m not sure favoring a driver is a good thing at the Scuderia, given their constant shooting themselves in the foot.

They need to put Braun on the pit wall. ;)
Although Schumi did a lot of his own race control.
Since Michael left, the pit wall has been lost in fog.

Maybe F1 needs to stop putting schoolkids in the cars. ;)

(And you young punks get off my laws!!! :p)

I can't help but think that's where it's going wrong. Ferrari don't currently have someone making Brawnesque strategy calls, but Mercedes seems to. :(

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I say sit out for the reamaining races, the whole team is a embarrassment. Focus on restructuring the team for next year. Championship is over!

I would not put Leclerc in the car. Too much pressure for no reason. It's going to be a different car next year anyway. I'm sure he's been in the similar plenty which is why Ferrari graduated him.

I think Kimi is not being held back. I think this is the best he's got.

It's not only the strategy calls, Andrew.

IMO, SF has lost a lot of its political power. MB seems to play the game much, much better.

Also, MB has more financial and technological resources than SF (and all other teams). The current formula has written "MB" all over it.

Even Red Bull wants RIC to get a win before he leaves, it would be nice for Ferrari to do that for Kimi after HAM clinches at COTA.
