I have owned 3 California's a 2011 then a 2013HS then a bunch of other cars and several months ago I decided for less than the cost of a 911. I could buy another 2013 California and have been driving it daily rain or shine and love the car It is the only Ferrari that I feel comfortable to drive anywhere mine is black with Cuio interior and
its fun and reliable to me .. And the car looks great . SO if you like it buy it. I will not be as reliable as a Toyota but it will be a hell of a lot more fun..
and then you can put the top down ..
have fun ignore the negative comments and enjoy.. My only word of advice is keep the battery tender plugged in when ever possible and replace the battery if it is even questionable.

I have had a 2015 Cali T for three years. Finest car I have ever owned but last year the bill for annual service, new power warranty renewal and sticky button fix was $14,000. In a fit of pique I vowed to sell the frickin Italian princess and in October I bought a BMW M6 convertible to replace it! Well, I have driven both since then and now I have a nice BMW M6 for sale lol.

Yep, Ferrari service bills are an eye opener, but then you drive it again and all is forgiven.

I took our Toyota daily driver, which we bought used, to the dealer to change the oil and all the fluids and it came out to less than replacing the key in a Cali. It was, however, a fast process unlike Porsche! And, don't get me started on replacing the Cali's rear safety reflector. Ay caramba! [emoji2]

But, you gotta pay to play as the wise man said!

What time of the year was that, and what day of the week? Road does not look very busy.

I also prefer the Cali T styling over the Portofino. Originally looked at a Porto but settled on an almost new Cali T for a ton less

I say this as an ex-owner; I think that the Cali T styling has aged well.
It is subjective of course, but I think it looks better that the Portofino or the Roma.

I love my California 30 but it’s getting a little older and I’m thinking about an upgrade. I still receive mostly positive comments about it and overall I’m enjoying it. I do get the stereotypical response of it!s the perfect ladies Ferrari.

Can see how they took aspects for the "modern" California.

On first read I thought your post said “wow, that’s really petty”! And I wholeheartedly agree, both with the pettiness of Texas Forever’s post and the fact that the original California was beautiful and that some of its design features carry forward well.

I want to be a ferrari owner and was looking at the California and this thread alone has helped me so much and so glad i joined this community! What is the ferrari under 250k that does not have the negative aspects of the california? Is the roma and portofino newer versions of the California?

Price will vary greatly with condition, age and mileage. You can find almost any Ferrari for under 250k if its condition warrants that valuation. Cali T is the next iteration and then Portofino and Roma after that, although each of those is considerably different from the previous model. Look through Autotrader with various parameters to get a feel for what Ferraris are available in your price range.

I disagree, I think with Ferraris it should be the one you HAVE to have or don’t bother. If the one that’s perfect is out of the price range now, wait until the situation changes.

thank you. What is the best way to find out the potential car that does not depreciate as fast or will hold its value so that I can hope and pray to continue to trade up. Thanks a lot !

It was on Thursday 15th September 2022. There was a little traffic in places but it either moved out of the way or couldn’t get past the bus.

Does anyone in here prefer the styling of the Cali over the Cali T?

For some reason my eyes are much more drawn to the original California more than the T. Other than the interior of the T, I feel like the NA Cali dominates in sound and looks.
