should i on a 512M ???

never own an old fcar, should i or should i run.
car in question is pretty much excellent, all service done. and only has a few thousand miles.

is it rewarding to drive with no potential issues?
i do fast driving in the mountains, and will this car disappoint?

a Testarossa is not the best Ferrari on small winding mountain roads. But the 512M is a great car on open roads and highways.

 

If you are able to hold the 512's 430 Hp's in hand it will not dissapoint you!

 

The TR is a GT - and as such will feel heavy - and less tossable on those winding mountain roads. Also, since it is an older car, it just doesn't have all the electronics nanny to save you either(minus ABS on later 512TR and 512M) - it won't be as fast as your other cars, but if you can manage to hang with others in your group in the 512M, then it's very rewarding since it is a beast to throw around on those tight mountain roads, and it's really all your skill and driving experience.

 

Re-visiting the past is best done in the pages of a photo album. I doubt that a 'Pre L d M' Ferrari will bring you much joy in the mountains. The modern stuff is far too nice by comparison.

The M has plenty of power on tap.
3-point turns and parking lot driving are guaranteed to give the arms a workout. Huge blind spots when making lane changes.
Straight line speed, or spirited driving, the M is in its element.

Keep in mind, if you are in the USA, you will have in your possession 1 of 75 cars ever produced from Ferrari to the USA.

Yea I don't do any highway or open road runs, only tight to semi tight twisty mountain runs.
Don't really care how rare it is, I'll be really driving the zxiiht out of it, probably put on 5k miles a year.
No city traffic and valet parking kind of driving.
Really like to know if the M can handle it or atleast be as good as the 360.
I drove a 512TR once and can't even pull out of the parking lot. Was shocked at the no power steering and antique interior. But the TR was my boy hood dream and I never own a fcar with a stick.
hope I don't make a mistake.

 

Twisty runs, hairpin turns, tight cornering? F360 is your car. Just my opinion.

the M is happiest as an Autobahn cruiser.
