Guys I need some advice here. I have a 1995 F355 Berlinetta which is the earlier 2.7. The car is due for cambelts and a clutch and a few other bits need doing. It has 58,000 miles on the car with full history and is in lovely condition. Now i am debating on either changing the car to a newer model and maybe this time I go for a GTS or spider. I love the 355's so going to stick with this model, sorry don't like the 360 and can't afford the 430!

What would guys say? I mean the car is running really well and I have it had for the last 3 years and have spent a bit on it including a Capristo. Don't know if I should take the gamble and buy another one and encounter problems and start having to spend money on it again or just keep my one and get the belts done. Advise will be appreciated.

I'd vote keep it - it's running good and you already 'know' the car.

Keep it. The car you have is the car you know. The car you don't have is the car you don't know.

If you really like it... keep it...............but if a spider is getting your affections, then by all means get a spider :). Remember YOU are the one that will be living with what ever car you decide on. ;)

Yup. All of the 355 models are good, but the two versions that stand out from the crowd are the 1995 models with Motronic 2.7 (more HP, easier to hotrod, etc.) and 1999 Fiorano editions with all of the upgrades and options.

Anyway, just get what you want!

    What they all said.

That said, I know someone in San Diego who sold his 355 coupe at Concorso after receiving a shockingly strong offer for it and bought a Spider this year to replace it.

You should sell your old F355 (to me :))). Sounds like a good one - keep it!

Personally I wouldn't change either the road wheels or the steering wheel, both are really nice. A CF interior? Possibly. However, as with all these things it's a matter of taste and I guess when you've had something for a while a bit of a change isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I would agree. I think CF is trendy now but may be not so 'tasteful' a few years down the road.

I think it was a case of the 'Red Mist' and a newcomer wandering around a field with 500 Ferraris. The car was very nice ('gold' level at Concorso), but certainly not the only red/tan 355 coupe for sale.

It can be natural to get "bored" of your car, even a ferrari..

Try to think about after you replace the car.. and the initial excitement wears off will you miss the one you sold?

I've made that mistake before.. Now I would rather just add cars to a collection than give up a car I love..

Maybe buy a spider and keep your car also?

also, you know the car.. you know the conditon.. 60k miles and running like new.. Sounds like you've reached perfection with your 355, might not have that again with another one.

I would love to keep my 355 and buy another one but that would not benefit me as I hardly drive the 355 that i have at present! I have had ferrari's for the last 10 years now and i first thought of selling it and replacing it with a Porsche cabriolet but then I thought I would miss my ferrari so that idea went out the window. So then i thought maybe upgrade to a newer 355 but after speaking to everyone here i have decided to keep it! It's now at the dealer having what ever needs doing, cambelts, clutch and so on!
