With NBC wanting to put Leno back in his old time slot, that screws up everyone else.
Should Leno just 'retire' from that type of show and go do something else?

yes. his "Tonight Show" was more stale than stadium beer at the end of baseball season.

I would love to see his "jay's garage" website become a TV show...

Jay's a lot better than Conan at 11:30. Conan should take the 50 Million and go elsewhere. NBC is just bleeding him.

But, at this point, you have to wonder if too much damage to both has been done.

That would be a great show. Perhaps Jeremy Clarkson could come on the show for a few guest appearances. Watching those two verbally spar against each other would be comic gold.

Personally, I think Leno is just 'old', I mean, his style. Conan was never that 'good', I cannot put my finger on exactly why he isn't. Letterman is just insulting half the time.
    I like Ferguson.

The guy I thought could really take Carson's place was Bill Maher - but keep in mind the Bill Maher of 25 years ago was NOT a politician, he was a really good comedy host. When Maher turned to politics, I turned him off. Lou Dobbs, Tom Snyder (RIP), both great - IF you wanted a political show.

I don't know if there is anyone out there capable of doing great hosting a show after your local news.

Something tells me we have not seen the last of Ryan Seacrest...

I don't get that guy. I understand striking while the iron is hot, but you'd think that eventually Seacrest would want to slow down just a bit and enjoy some of his success. I can only imagine what an ego he must have.

Comedy isn't what it was 30 years ago. It's much more political now than then. There are not many comedians today that seem able to hide their political leanings. I think Jay Leno is probably one of the better ones out there right now.

What we need is someone to come along that's able to make the smallest, everyday events that happen to us all....funny again.

But I wax nostalgic for comedy of yester-year. Who that would be, I do not know.

Bill Maher was a good stand-up comedian but he is an a** of the highest order and not because of his political views. Filling in would have been fine, but he would not have lasted a year before being ran out of the studio.

What do I watch on the rare occasions the TV is on at that time? Nightline!

Seriously, how many shows do we really need where some actress whoring her latest movie comes on and tells a funny anecdote about falling asleep sitting in the makeup chair each morning of filming?

Leno should go back to his old time slot and just enjoy life. Conan should play nice and just have fun with all the controversy going on, although I suspect his ego will make him (stupidly) leave NBC.
