Hahahahahahahahahahahaha ... maybe a VAN would be a better option :D

Actually though the sliding door would be a good idea ... but how do you do that without it looking like a van sliding door ?

In the Netherlands such cars need to have the so called "life hammer" as standard equipment, this hammer with a sharp point to it that can smash the side windows.

I dont think it needs vertical opening doors. Lamborghini wont make a color like Rosso Corsa since its Ferraris signature color, so Ferrari shouldnt steal Lambos trademark doors.

I wouldnt care if the doors opened vertical or not. As long as they looked good when closed, who cares how they open. (although, as jeff_m stated, verticle doors make sense when parking or in tight spaces)

They swing outwards at about a 35 degree angle - the biggest thing though is that they include a substantial part of the roof ala LeMans racers from the 60's, incl. Ford GT40.

Already seen this Modena Van? Could have sliding doors on it :D. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9304
Like I said, just playing with the design! I hope I'll NEVER see something like this with a Ferrari badge on the road!

Answering the question; NO, a Ferrari really doesn't need wing- or sliding doors to be special! It already IS a legend! And maybe those doors are practical but... a Ferrari doesn't need to be 100% practical, it just has to be breathtaking, fast and an experience to drive one! Hey, that's a tradition! :D

Vertical doors should remain in the realm of Lamborghini for no other reason that Lambo typifies the use.

The Gallardo should've had them; it is very sad that it does not employ them.

Nothing says Italian machismo like Lamborghini and scissor doors.

    Put them on the Gallardo!

I vote no, those kinds of things just seem out of place on a Ferrari to me. Although I have to say they work well on the Enzo, but thats juat because that thing is insane looking in the first place.
But really, does it matter? I mean, we all know its going to be an awesome car anyways, I could care less wether it has Scizzor doors or even Suicide style, just as long as it goes like hell :)

I think not because the vertical doors are more of a Lambo/Super Exotic kind of door. I couldnt imagine the 360 with vertical doors.
