Hi... I'm new to this forum and would like to ask your advice. I'm doing some volunteer work for a non profit outfit that puts on an Italian Festival for disabled kids each year, in northern California. We've decided to try to make the festival more Italian by adding an Italian classic car display on a Saturday. Can any owners on this forum tell me this best way to get this accomplished? Thanks in advance for your help. Rags..
You need to give more information as to what you want, when, where, etc. We love to bring out our Ferrari's. But, we need the above info.
I don't know much about that, but yes more information is definitely needed. You sure do have the right mindset for the bringing out the Prancing Horses... Admit it, Alfa Romeo just isn't the same...
If this is a local event in Norcal, it's probably best to post further info/requests in the Norcal forum so you can get the most local attention http://ferrarichat.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=13
Prancing horses... Ha ha. I didn't know there was a Norcal forum. I will post this, there. FYI: The idea so far, is to have a classic Saturday and a dealer Sunday of Italian Cars and motorcycles, in San Mateo, CA. A suburb of San Francisco. The non profit is not fly by night. It has been doing this for years & draws about 10,000 people. The event is getting stale and we're hoping to make it more exciting, while keeping it Italian (only Italian products). Hell, it is the Italian Festival. The web site for due diligence is, www.festafoundation.org Thanks for the suggestions. PS I've had two Alphas. The best car & the worst car I ever owned. The best: '52 Alpha Spider roadster, 1100cc, DeDion rear end The worst (but prettier - ala La Dolce Vita): 1960 Velocce Ivory convertable
Great idea. We did a similar event last May in our area for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. We allowed the children and their families in an hour earlier and took pictures of the kids in the cars. It was a great success! Make sure that you get the local media involved.
The one in Santa Rosa does that. Their event was today. If you are in San Mateo the Norcal section is obviously a good idea. Here are a few more Google FIAT AMERICA, the local Fiat chapter, also the AROC Alfa Romeo Owners club, they have an active local chapter, post on Mirafiori.com in events, Contact the local Ferrari and Lambo dealers and send info to the Italian Car repairsshops in the area. Dino Motors is in San Mateo. PB
