    What always strikes me is how customer expectations in steering effort, like ride height, have evolved over the years -- not only did it used to be that you could drive a car over a 6"~8" high street curb with no coachwork damage, you'd have a ginormous steering wheel AND power steering like that gorgeous TB(?) in post #3.

    I couldn't agree with this more, and, for the same reason, replacing things like cracked, or weathered, wheel center emblems makes sense (even if the price seems unfair ;)) -- you see them EVERY time you walk up to the car.
