50 to 60 hours per week. I never thought I would be working in a supermarket at this point in my life but it is pretty stable. Everyone has to eat so that offers pretty good job security. Tom Thumb is a division of Safeway Stores which also include Randall's, Vons, Genaurdis, Dominicks, Carrs, Pick and Save. I get to manage a staff of about 100...............about $18m a year in sales from our store....... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Strictly for a steady paycheck I'm working here in the fishing dept but I love fishing and starting in Feb I'll be in class at HCC's police academy. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
You have a very cute little fella there Chad!! Cool mate. That is a lot of turnover every year from that one store. I hope you get a decent slice of that $18m buddy. Cool brother!! There seems to be a few Policeman on Fchat. I better start behaving myself!
Thanks Pap! He's been a blast over the past year(Birthday was Dec 6th). His little brother will be born April 19th, can't wait. I agree. I absolutely love what I do. A set schedule, great vacation/holiday time, and the job is as interesting as you want to make it. Go eight hours with blinders on and be bored(shouldn't be working then), or keep looking for something to get into...Best of luck with the academy. If you have any difficulties during the coarse, don't hesitate to shoot me a message asking questions!
Excellent!! That is great to hear!! All the best with the new little fella due next year and I hope you and your family have a GREAT Xmas!! Take care and be safe out there brother! Sounds like a good job!! Police here also get paid nothing. I earn double what they earn!
Thank you and yah I wont get rich in a monetary sense being a police officer but it will be very very rewarding. Whats funny is for the last 20+ years I was always mistaken for an undercover police officer say from people I met at a bar and then met later. Law enforcement I believe is a personal calling for someone and I am one of those 'someones' and I have not walked this proud in years in the sense of respect I have regained for myself and the support & pride in me I am recieveing from my entire family which is truelly inspiring and motivating. That is a very generous offer Chad and I sincerely appreciate your support and generous offer. I'm sure I will be relaying updates to you and my uncle aswell who is a Montgomery County Sheriff. What agency are you with if you dont mind me asking? Merry Christmas everyone, Gregg
No problem MR2, I pm'd ya' my agency. Best of luck, it'll be a blast. My first day in the academy they showed us a video of an inmate being stabbed 42 times(My Peace Officer course was coupled with a 30 day jailer course too for more training hours). Two vids I won't forget are the South Carolina Trooper Coates or even Deputy Kyle Dinkheller. It's a crazy job. We were just driving around the other day(morning shift) when a call came out for a burglary in progress. Long story short, we caught the kid running home. Him and a couple others are responsible for over 20 burglaries in the area, man what a feeling to get'em. Anyways, MORE PICS folks!
When not on the road, I enjoy working from my home office....................EXCEPT when people I am on the phone with ask who is snoring in the background! Image Unavailable, Please Login

WOW, is that one of those pits where you can find diamonds at? I have seen a few shows on TV about those.
no diamonds... copper ore and gold mainly. at the time of those photos, they had been digging 24/7 for about 14months
Thought I'd share some of the cool toys I get to work with every day! The latter (dark) pictures were taken at about 9:45 this morning. We're about a week beyond the winter solstice now (definitely a day of note at 62 degrees north) and the days are just starting to get longer. Sunrise/set today (December 29) is pegged for 10:08am and 3:10pm respectively...... -David Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That is a cool office. I used to love to hangout at my buddy's office, same as yours, and watch him bend/mount/mould panels and draw his rivet gun. I had better times in the hangar than I did when he took me up in his tin can Cessna lol.
A bit more humble than some of the stuff here, but here goes. My old job. I don't know if I am allowed to post pictures of my current one, but this summer I may, as I begin to work there more. My desk [at my old job] Image Unavailable, Please Login
