Yes, that looks like a good price depending upon mechanical condition. Same name as my buddy's boat.
Very true. But the sweet spot for cruising when the seas aren't too rough, or with a decent wave period nets pretty good fuel economy. Just like you rarely run a car wide open, the boat is the same. And while the comforts of a Sporty are awesome, and in big seas, that'd be my boat of choice, at my age I like the go fast boats
Thank you, it is a 2009 remake by the original apprentice that used to work for Raveau when he was 19 years old. He is 84 now... Raveau was the original boat builder for Karl Kiekhaefer, for his endurance tests with his Merc motors. There are less than 30 boats like this in the world, had to wait 6 years to have this one built... Regards, Alberto
Every now and then I have lunch with Fred Kiekhaefer and I can tell you first hand that they're some of the most entertaining conversations that I've ever had. Really educated me about the boat industry and how a lot of that works.
Not mine, just chartered it for 2 weeks in the Med Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not mine but showed up at our lake a couple weeks ago back in one of the channels. Hope its here to stay. It is even more powerful than it looks. It sounds deathless. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
What does that mean? I would think that's an impressive sounding boat but not being familiar with the word "deathless" I think that means it's not impressive and it's quiet? "Deathly" would probably be loud and "deathless" would probably be quiet. Just my thinking as a poor immigrant to this country. I would love to know what it actually means in colloquial usage.
PM your cell number and I'll send you a couple videos of it going by. The camera doesnt do it justice and they are only going cruising, but its still wonderful. Also, I can ask you a question about my lower back (L3 area) tightness when cycling!
My wife and I visited the Formula factory this last week in Decatur Indiana. This is is a Fastech 382. This one was made for the boat show circuit. I'm considering a boat like this in my future. My plan is to keep it at the lake during the summer and ship it to the coast for the winter months for dry dock storage. Then we could take 1 or 2 trips during the colder months and use the boat to travel between marinas and resorts. I've been figuring out the logistics of it all. If nothing else, its fun to dream... They say these are the RR of go-fast boats and I have to say I think I agree. The fit and finish and attention to detail was the best I've ever seen in a boat. Image Unavailable, Please Login
