A little more please. How long have you had it? Power? It's got to have a great ride. Nothing would be cooler than pulling up to a lakeside restaurant in that.
Wow is that Gorgeous. We have at least one on Lake Keowee, and yesterday I was on Gull Lake, MI and saw a number of them out and about. Very cool!

I think I’ve had it about 5 or 6 years. It’s my second wood boat - started w/ a 1948 Chris Craft Deluxe. Once I saw a “Barrelback”, it was all over. So the search began ... I was introduced to Dave Bortner of Freedom Boats based out of Lake Minnetonka area, MN. He looked at a 19 Barrel in Chicago that I liked, said pass on it, and found my current boat, just redone, in Michigan. It hasn’t been named yet. Some older gentleman had found it in the woods under a blue tarp and totally restored it over a five year time period. As I mentioned, it’s a 1939 Barrelback ( 19 ft ) with a Chrysler MA engine ( straight 6 and 131 HP ). I’m lucky enough to have a lake home in a pretty hot wood boat hub. Two of the biggest collectors in the country ( Lee Anderson & John Allen ) have their collections about 15 minutes from me on Gull Lake. The boat shows they throw are incredible so it’s become a fun hobby. Here’s a painting that my girlfriend has done for me by Darrell Bush. The Wharf, our favorite restaurant, with my Skater 28 and my old ‘48 Chris Craft are on the dock. Thanks for the interest ... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think this is just a dream. When I was a little kid we vacation on a lake in Northern Michigan. I drooled over the Chris Crafts then. Some years ago I bought a boat in Grand Haven Michigan. I had never been there and bought the boat in the winter. There was complex of aircraft hanger sized warehouses on the water with a travel lift. In the hangers, which were perfect, were all of these boat toys. There were many CC's and Hackercrafts. It was unbelievable. The guys were drop them down for a day and then put them back in storage for the night. Fun to see them preserved.
That is a very, very strong garage. Love the glass block and ceiling. Perfect match for the boat. Well played!
And here’s how it all started - I was in 4th grade - payed $85 from lawn mowing money and my dad donated the motor ... Image Unavailable, Please Login
