Old school hydro!! Looks like a lot of fun. I know we have had a warm spell and all, but isn’t that moemof a summer thing!!!
I’ve had several boats over the past 25 years that would tap the 100 MPH+ club …. This little thing at ~ 30 mph made me nervous when I was turning - lol MDS
Probably more appropriate for the Travel sub-forum, but figured this crew may be best informed... I'm going to book a last minute warm weather trip for my wife and I (mid-March). One concept on my mind is doing a boat charter in Exumas/Bahamas. Is this even feasible/recommended for just one couple? I'm guessing most nice boats are sized for 2-4 couples and it obviously doesn't make sense to pay for that when it's just the two of us For those familiar with the Bahamas specifically, are there good evening stops/destinations for high-end dining? Guessing the guidance will be to stay on land, but to the extent there are some solid ideas here, I'm open to them! Thanks! Joe

Just got this, well actually waited 2 years for it to be built. Plan was to have an excellent out board powered slalom ski boat for Fl, and it worked out great. the lobster boat style hull is flat at the back for a tournament boat style wake, for rough water you just slow down and use the tabs to put the sharp bow in. The merc 4 stroke with electric throttle and a 4 blade prop holds speed as well as my malibu response. In general, it skies as well as the response, quite amazing for an otherwise cruise boat. Were also planning on doing some exploring along and across Fl with it. Plus it tows well on trailer for lots of roaming. for my use turned out ideal Image Unavailable, Please Login
The 33 yo chekmate on its way for some resto work, fixing paint, fillign some chips etc, wood still good. Keeping the merc 2 stroke, compression still good, will do some small upgrades to carbs tec, and a different prop for speed as no need to ski this boat anymore. Image Unavailable, Please Login

I’ve owned two - I don’t think there’s a better < 20 foot V-Bottom sport boat. Period. Allison’s are great. MDS
