@Rifledriver You may want to stock up on Harleys. https://www.hagerty.com/media/news/the-manifold/2023-01-20/?utm_source=SFMC&utm_medium=email&utm_content=MED_UN_NA_EML_UN_DailyDriver_Friday&hashed_email=73165e8cc4badee9481651c00d08ae97a3af91d70b3ae35dce0adc375474d203 CEO declares Harley-Davidson on track to be “an all-electric brand” Intake: In an interview with Dezeen, Harley-Davidson CEO Jochen Zeitz didn’t mince words as he laid out that the American brand is on a defined, long-term plan to phase out internal-combustion engines from its lineup in lieu of electric motors. Jochen Zeitz???
I’d like to buy a cool sport bike for display but I’m testing the waters(with what I have) to see if the wife can handle motorcycles in the house. So far so good. Dr.
Sold the R3 a couple days ago and picked up this well-kept 09 CBR600RR yesterday. Everything on this bike is just holy ****. May need to find another exhaust for casual riding though, as the Toce that is on it is just obscenely loud for early mornings and late nights. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Been looking for all winter and finally found nice 2022 low mileage Tenere 700. Lovely bike with great engine. Was suprise'd how nice the stock exhaust sounds. Image Unavailable, Please Login Removed the lowering kit, even better at standard height.
Trailered down to Austin, TX for the MotoGP and enjoyed some spectacular Hill Country riding! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I just added a project to the fleet. 2002 Ducati 998. Naturally it was a biposto that got a new tail, but it was too cheap to pass up. JK Image Unavailable, Please Login
might want to short Harley. there si no sign motorcycles are ebign madated to be elctric. There is zero evidence that liquid fuels wont be avialable for anoter 50 years, and lonmg before then we'll have e fules. more tot he point a motorcycle, particularly a Harkey is a visceral machine, take that out and what do you have. its not news though that harley is run by professional managers whos link to motorcycles and customers comes from clinics. Sounds like another MBA idiot trying to pander to wall street for a stock boost.
Thanks! It’s a process. I did the clutch and a few other odds and ends. I hope to have it on the road next week. I also apparently bought a Triumph Bonneville project as well. I should have a pic tomorrow. JK
Or not, in case of the Bonneville. An hour into the drive to pick it up the seller called to say he sold it. What a ******. Oh well, I’m sure I’ll find another equally bad idea. JK
Well, the adventure continues. Out for the first real test ride, and it seems to not be charging Image Unavailable, Please Login JK
Single track enduro is some exhausting shiznik. All good until you have to lug 260 lbs over four trees at age 54 ! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Swapped my RS660 for a Tuono 660 Factory, liked the paint scheme better as well as the more comfortable ergos, as I do commute by bike a bunch. Still breaking it in, just got back from 100+ mile ride over the White Mountains in NH. I really like this bike so far. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Or they are doing a Bud Light thing and thinking going woke will bring them a broader base. No one, NO ONE on a motorcycle worries about gas costs or mileage. Some do worry about range, like me. Going out in the middle of no where range is a very big issue and I can guaranty you no one is doing the Dalton Highway on an electric motorcycle.
