Go for a Ride my man. I was out on my BMW R NINE T for a super 85 mi ride on the excellent (and recently repaved) Scenic Roads (Rustic Roads) her in Wisconsin.
Yes! Go for a ride and make me jealous. Massive cold snap where I am and it's not the ideal place to ride at the best of times
My 1953 Chief and 2017 Roadmaster. The Chief was my stepdad’s, he sold Indians till Indian went under. I restored it, even did the paint. Love my old bike. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
My 2006 Harley-Davidson XL883L. Open pipes, loud and obnoxious. Bought this just to experience the Harley Sound. Actually rides quite nice, and handles well for a Harley. I prefer my BMW R NINE T however. Image Unavailable, Please Login
In Squaw Lake, MN …. Next stop - Talmoon, MN …. We are in God’s Country Image Unavailable, Please Login
We hit Eagle River, WI, today - 300 miles East of Crosslake, MN. Next stop - the Dorr in Sister Bay, WI - we have a ~ 200 mile pull tomorrow Image Unavailable, Please Login
Took the CBR up to the mountains last week. This was at the NC/TN border on Roan Mountain. Love this bike especially on these roads, still my favorite bike I've ridden. Image Unavailable, Please Login
How do you get your bike there ? We always ride but it’s a pretty easy run from MN - could pound it in a day if you wanted to - it’s about 550 miles. We did 500 miles on Thursday - Sister Bay, WI, to Crosslake, MN. We were shot - these guys doing a 1000 miles a day are crazy. We didn’t screw around either - drove 70 mph on most of the roads when able. MDS
500 miles is my limit driving anything. I can't do what I used to do. For road trips, I like to keep in down to less than 250 miles a day. Start out with breakfast at a local diner. Pack it in when the motels open at 3:00 pm.
Agreed - when we tour, we’re not driving 70 all day - more like 45-65 mph - stopping to take pictures, etc … on these 2 lane State Highways Some days are 200 miles which is fine too MDS
Image Unavailable, Please Login I drove from Boston with the Road Glide and my Indian in my trailer. It rained about half of the 1900 mile trip there. And the same in the return drive. At Sturgis I rode about 1000 miles in 4 full days. Just right. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
