Sorry to hear about your father. He had excellent taste.
My old Monster (post #1593) was sold today. As there are so many value threads here, I computed the depreciation adjusted for money inflation - and in 14 years, it only lost 51% of its initial value (adjusted for inflation). Actually, I was initially considering to keep it, assuming it would have lost almost all its value; but after a little digging I discovered it wasn't worthless so decided to sell it. It could probably even sell for a little more next Spring... Anyway, that's just an occasion to post another picture of my new bike Image Unavailable, Please Login
I loved my Monster, which was a bit older than yours. Fantastic bike for riding around the city, but I found out I like to tour, and it's not so great for that. I just bought a 2024 Supersport, which is basically a Monster with a fairing and surprisingly capable bags. If only it had cruise control!
Had the wheels and some other colored bits powder coated to match the original color… Image Unavailable, Please Login
47 and sunny. Good enough for me to hop on. Got it nice and dirty lol. Swapped the rear fender and all the large chromed-plastic incandescent lighting front and rear for a Motone tail tidy, their GORT light and Pico 3-in-1 LEDs out back, with Motogadget pins on the front and atop the shocks. Because I acknowledge I'm in Maryland for another 6 months or thereabouts, and a little extra visibility (even with a decat) isn't a bad thing. Maybe I'll keep it around if I know I'm going up to Gettysburg or another longer trip, but keep it off the bike for just little jonts....
Here's my '46 Indian Chief during a Road Run in South Dakota. It's been stroked to 80"s, and has all the long distance touring tricks; including the rubber chicken dragging up the rear. It's a great bike, but I don't tour much anymore, so I will let her to.
Chilly one today, but far warmer than it's been and warm enough for sustained highway-ish speeds. into the 50s by Wednesday; may even take the Vespa to PT tomorrow. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just finished a three year nut and bolt restoration on this Moto Guzzi 235cc. It’s not a stock color but I think it turned out beautifully. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Update. Threw on a black exhaust and added Motone Saturn V mufflers. With the decat and removal of db killers it is absolutely spectacular on decel and goosing it for underpasses. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Mine aren’t anything crazy, just basic models, but they’re perfect for my needs. The Ninja is/was my intro into street bikes, 500 ABS, last year of the old style HD Sportster 883, and the Indian Scout. I used to have some of the bigger, fancier baggers, etc.… But my riding these days is short distance, hopping around town, etc.… Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've had several sports bikes over the years, from 600cc to 1000cc bikes, a couple of years ago I got my first Ducati, an 848 super bike, was great fun to ride, unfortunately in the last 6-8 months I have suffered a hip injury and could no longer ride sports bikes due to the aggressive riding position, I sat on several different model bikes to see what would be the best fit for me,I sold the 848 over the weekend and bought another bike I can ride, I now have a 1098s streetfighter, what a bike, I really need to do a photo shoot with my 360 Modena Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Hmm... it has electric start. That's a start. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1992-harley-davidson-sportster-2/?utm_source=Iterable&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=campaign_2648438
Impractical as hell, but whoever said motorcycles were supposed to be practical? Rock on. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-bultaco-alpina-350-2/?utm_source=Iterable&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=campaign_2648441
Backpacks make every motorcycle practical as needs be. Head to the grocery store, put your paskettio's in the backpack, enjoy.
At least it has a seat. When I was young, dumb, and full of cum, I wanted a Bully Taco Pursang so bad. I'm now old, dumb, and full of crumbs. I might buy that Pursang after all.
