This is my house in a Detroit suburb. After college I want to stay in the area, I really like it here.

 

This is about 1/3 of the way up my driveway (a bit over 1/4 mile) heading to my cabin (just shy of 40 acres on a lake) in Wisconsin.

I currently reside on 5 acres in the countryside of southwest British Columbia, Canada. I enjoy living in BC for many reasons - the culture, the mountains, the Coast, the many wonderful driving roads... But my favourite thing about BC is the lushness. Anyone who comes here from eastern provinces for the first time always remarks the same thing: "It's so green!" The abundance of greenery is of course due to the fact that BC is a temperate rainforest. The only thing I wish is for it to be a bit warmer when it rains. I appreciate the rain, but when it does on the Coast it's most often below 15 °C (59 °F).

Anyway, for the most part I love where I live. A huge benefit to country living is that the space, privacy, and freedom allow the practice of activities such as my fire breathing (see photo).

Yes, I've been to Cultus Lake many times. It's certainly beautiful there.

 

Some of your photos look as if they were taken on the trail north of Cultus. We will be back in two weeks, my son plays hockey in the BCHL. We really enjoy BC.

 

All my photos were taken on my property. I live about 45 minutes west from Cultus.
