Showing off the 412...

So finally had the chance to get the 412 out and hit the highway on a real road trip- to the Newport RI Concours. As usually for New England this year- a grey overcast day but no rain to speak of. My buddy Dave and I hit the road early and got a chance to really open the 412 up-

Just a supremely comfortable road car, but there's always that V12 bark when you need it. Accelerating from 80-120 takes a few seconds it seems, and we were constantly blowing past all sorts of expensive cars on the road, while dodging the VERY frequent speed traps. The car ran great- this 412 feels particularly unbreakable.

Arriving at the Fort Adams State park we got inline with a group of exotics, Ron's Mondial 3.2 sitting right behind me. Really, really surprising the reaction the 412 got- LOTS of people wanted to check it out and incredibly positive comments.

Lots of fun getting the beast out on the road- the trip back was FASt since we had less Police to dodge- the car really loves to cruise well into triple digits- not really practical here in the States but a minute or so at speed was fun!
