racecarsdirect.com (Race Cars For Sale) » FERRARI ENZO M.SCHUMACHER I did see a thread a while ago so not sure if its old news or whether its back up for sale again
FERRARI ENZO ex Michael Schumacher, Occasion, 8'500 km, CHF 1'499'000.- - AutoScout24 located in the french part of switzerland - next to Michaels private home
I don't get why Schumacher would sell this.. If I were in his place, it would stay with me forever. Look at all the personal details and the messages from friends and teammates. He certainly isn't very sentimental or attached to it. Weird.
he sold it long ago, and for specific reasons previously discussed on this site, but not worth hashing out again. the price is higher than it was for sale this summer. my guess is that they are slightly ambitious. and added to that, for it to go anywhere outside of switzerland - within europe, will cost an additional 15-20% in vat and that puts people off. as well, that dealer is not everybody's favorite person.....
I actually remember that now.. It's been for sale several times. But there was known specific reasons also??
Racing drivers are known for not being very sentimental (and many others besides). Some people like to try something, experience it, and move on, as their interests shift. I have a few clients I consider to be revolving collectors, who are always getting rid of the old and trying the new. I don't complain, and I can certainly relate.
Again? Probably some people believe that this is the right moment to sell an Enzo because it will give them something extra. Especially if this Enzo is the ex Michael Schumacher's car.
Not a crazy price to be honest. Last Enzo I saw for sale in person was at Kessel, asking 1.4M CHF for car with just over 2.000 kms according to the sticker. Pristine condition from what I could see. Only 100k CHF more for a car owned by Schumi is not bad, milage is so low on both cars anyways.
Just read an online news it's back on the market again. It would be nice if his wife will buy it back so that it can be included in Schumacher Permanent Collection in Cologne, Germany so us fans can see it.
I suspect Michael would rather someone bought it and drove the crap out of it as hard as possible on the track regularly ! he's a racing driver.
