Well i know this is going to seem pretty ridiculous for some of you guys, but im asking for your help if possible.

Currently, any money i make is through some kind of labor for my dad's company or the like. I am involved in the paper work during the summer, but it only consists of Estimates, invoices, etc.

Is there any way i can apply to get a job in this area doing some kind of intellectual work rather than blue-collar work? Any company that is hiring for my age consists of being a sales associate or the like, and it's technically worthless do be scanning barcodes for hours, i rather just study more in school.

Im extremely outgoing and focused on being successful, and im eager to broaden my experience in many career aspects, before i go to College. I have a lot of time to kill now, so i was wondering what are my best options to progress to a more intellectual job opportunity?

    Thanks

Considering your age (sixteen, right?) if I was in your shoes I would concentrate on academics and attempt to get into the best university possible; that is the stepping stone for your future.

I do not know too many worthwhile professions, at least that I am interested in (finance), hiring young first year college kids; do not even mention high school aged kids. Take my word for it, I have two internships (unpaid), a retail job to bring some sort of cash, and I just completed a summer internship search.

Realistically, you are sixteen, enjoy being young with no responsibilities while you can. I suggest you invest some time into finding a university that REALLY fits for you and I suggest you research some career fields of interest to you. Once you have spotted a career that interests you, NETWORK until you drop. Networking is incredibly crucial to getting your foot in the door of a firm and getting the job you truly desire.

    Good luck.
