That's the cover feature on the DVD version of the movie "Lap of the GODS". I believe that is Alain Prost in the Renault Turbo. Amazing film compilation by Alain Boisnard who put 35mm cameras on racecars back in the 70s before they had all the small cameras on every car. Most of the footage is just like this and was shot on practice/test days. Even if this sort of thing gets boring to you, the footage of the 6 wheel Tyrrell at Monaco with the foot box covers off is the most amazing race footage ever shot. If you like that, go buy "Lap of the Gods".... one of my favorites of all times... worth EVERY penny! Rick

I think you will find that its actually from 1982- footage taken at Montreal... when the pits were down by the haripin. Its Rene Arnoux driving. This was his last year at Renault.
