Side mirror auto dimming? Help!

    Hi, I am not sure what's happening with my car's side mirrors as i recall it dimmed couple of times when I do reverse parking. But most of the time, it doesn't. Is there any button to control it? Thanks in advance for your advice.

    Xin, I don't think your side mirror(s) are auto-dimming. They may be pointing down instead.

    If your car has the full power seats then it also has seat memory that can move the side mirror to a specific position you have set it to every time you engage reverse. This is often used to point the mirror down so that you can better see the kerb. Your power seat will have 3 memory settings. It's possible that only one or more of your settings were saved with the side mirror in the down position so it seems like it's only doing that sometimes.

    Have a look in your owner's manual under "External rear-view mirrors".

    excuse my english :-S that's exactly what I mean. And you are right! I can save the side mirror in the down position for reversing, Page 148. thanks again!
