My side mirrors do not work. I have the plug out. Is there a way I can test the plug to see if it’s getting power so I can see if it’s the wires or the switch?

Normally the problems with the 348 door wiring is under the boot where the the wiring loom attaches to the door frame . There are around 23 wires going from the door to the bulkhead. (as in every other car) The unfortunate problem with the 348 was the factory left insufficient "strain relief" in the door harness such that when the door is fully extended in the "Open" position the door is pulling at the connections to the pins in the 1/4 turn black plastic plug. Which will eventually fail.

The control wires going from the switch to the driver's mirror don't go through door hinge connector, but the power wire for the switch does.

Look for 12 volts on pin 4 of the mirror control switch connector. Pin 4 should have a blue/black wire on it. Use any bare metal as an earth for your voltmeter's black probe.

Check this with the ignition on.

It won't be a fuse issue. Your wipers, brake lights and glove box light wouldn't work if the fuse had blown.

If no power on the blue/black wire, go the driver's door hinge connector and inspect/check the blue/black wire there (pin 11).

Thanks a lot. I pulled the plug off at the door and everything “looked” ok. I will check that pin today.

    Yes, both mirrors.

Here's a close-up of the door plug. I think this is the contact side of the A pillar connector.

    Keyway at the top.

Check for voltage across pins 11 (fuse 5 power) and 13 (earth)

Pin 3 (red wire) on the switch seems to supply both mirrors (with fuse 5 power). I suppose the red wire could be broken (but less likely, compared to the door plug wiring)
