    No takers on the admission of running their cars into polar bear tears mode? Aww, come on, life isn’t fun unless you push it to the limits! As I said to the cop that stopped me in Spain one time at 152mph on my motorcycle, you only live once, make it a great one!, although he didn’t really understand English and the only Spanish I know is ‘ke’ and ‘barcelona’, or ‘real madrid’ Hehehehe. One big ticket for that one, and in pesetas (old Spanish money) it sounded even worse, at 200 pesetas to the pound back then! Luckily, they weren’t so draconian as to put you in prison for it, and didn’t check the number plates I was running!

    Not the lowest per se, but the worst MPG for me was my 1965 Ford Corsair (Anemic V4 engine ditched) "restomod" Ford Granada 3000E V6 / Ford Capri 3000E 3.08 rear axle, which averaged 10.8 MPG during my tenure.

    My car when getting on it, gets somewhere around 12 to 13 MPG, part of the allure of my Lotus. My Jeep gets around 13 to 14 in town, not sure about off-road but it goes way down. My largest ticket was for 105 in a 55 back in 1989. I was pulled over for 117 here in Vegas and some how I got off with a verbal warning. I have since cooled my jets.

    My 2 litre 1969 911E without proper heat exchangers got 8 mpg with the chock on continually (using racing headers and no heat to the FI pump). And it burned too much fuel to go fast. When the car came to the UK, I put a new exhaust and now its respectable.

    Hey dude, how ya doing? I would mate, but I hit Vegas in a week, and am there till the end of the month, and the way I go there, I usually have to go home rather than go broke (unless I can find a pool room with some wannabes to hustle!).

    Whatever happened to the Russian story.... anything come of that? I let my subscription lapse as I didn’t like what Rob said about me a little while ago, so I’m outta the loop

    I had a Ford Granada, a couple years after they changed their name from Consul..... a 3 litre this that hit 140mph with a followIng wind, one of my first cars, it was one of my dads old cars, a 1974, that I kinda used to drive about as soon as I reached 15 and granted myself permission to drive o the road..... awesome, felt like Regan out of ‘The Sweeney’ in that car

    Awesome car....... you can never use too much fuel when you are speeding! The more fuel, the faster you are going (unless you are me, in a Vauxhall/Opel Cavalier SRi 130 overtaking someone in a country lane just as the fuel lines ruptured!, that was fun)

    The real scammer never showed, but then a REAL Russian appeared thru Match, in Houston and then SHE was replaced after one date, by a Russian I met randomly in a Blues Bar. I quit posting because I was afraid no one would believe all of this. The final one is going to listen to the update, (she professionally 'manages change") and the scammer is still emailing!

    In the middle of this, I lose my employment...:/
    That part is deadly serious.
    Try a job search, at 60 y.o....

    And, a real cute Cajun girl has won my heart, fled back to Baton Rouge, but at least she burns money $20s at a time, not $100s.
    This could be love.....LOL!
    She's 21, her 21 y.o. friend vouched for both of them!

    So, no need for Rossa, I quit posting about it.
    But I would love to see you over a drink.

    Wow, where do I start..... the Russians, hey, as long as you are having fun, who cares what the brain trust think, I may have seen the photos of the 21 year old when I last had access, and if it’s who I think it was...... I think I messaged the thread with a ‘****ing hot!’ On your behalf!

    That’s rough with the job man, do you have some leads to follow, get you back in the saddle.? I wish I could offer something, but wrong continent still, although I’m working on it with a buddy from the Windy City that wants to get me and the family into the US as soon as he can. His background is a pretty good match for my family background, so we get on like a house on fire and he wants me to be a right hand man to his various businesses. Trouble is, I’m a bit old to be let in on a visa, so we have to be very exact in the job I’ll be doing with him. He’s now a rancher in California in the main, but interests in alsorts including casinos

    I would love to get out to COTA for a race. I tired one year but work got in the way and I lost a bunch of money on the trip so I haven't tired since.
