    Hello everybody,

I do have a copy of "Klemantaski & Ferrari" signed by the well known photographer Louis Klemantaski.
There were 1200 copies published, 1000 canvas - and 200 leather bound.
Mine is leather bound with # CLXII ( 162 ??? ) published in 1991, a rare item to be sought for.
The book is in excellent condition, has been kept very well.
It has about 250 B&W photos and 10 in colour.

Does anybody know what it' d be worth nowadays ?

    Best regards,
    Johann

    Great looking book.

I can find only one reference to it at about $125 USD.

There is also one reference to his Aston Martin book at about $175.

    However, neither are signed copies.

Thanks so far for your input.
    Just received the following mail:

We have never seen one of the leather edition offered for sale. The standard edition, when offered, seems to command about $250. We would think that a copy of the leather edition, asuming perfect condition and with its slipcase, would be worth about $500 at auction, perhaps more.

It might sell best at a Bonhams automobilia sale, at a venue such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

    Sincerely,

    THE KLEMANTASKI COLLECTION

Am I the only one who finds it weird or nothing special to have a photographer's signature? The book is cool, but I don't really care whether a photographer has signed it or not. And I'm somebody who normally collects sigs.

Maybe it is because I take my own pics. Maybe it is because some of my relatives are photographers and cinematographers. To me it is a craft, not an art form.

Furthermore the Klemantaski collection is one of the worst hecklers for keeping the copyrights of their pics. I'm just waiting until Ferrarichat gets a request from them to have the pics in this very thread removed because they own them.
