So here is my take on the outcome:

    - Renault gets slapped with a penalty, monetary and possible some race bans
    - Renault stays in F1 but fires Briatore
    - Symonds and Piquet get amnesty
    - Symonds remains with Renault and gets Prost or Richards as his new boss
    - Piquet Jr. continues to race gokarts in Brazil for the rest of his career
    - Briatore digs another supermodel and lives happily ever after in his Lago di Como villa
    - Mad Max retires a happy man leaving the seat for Todt

Typical. Handle the sleaze by pretending it doesn't exist. Treat the leaks as the problem.
Denial works every time. Until it happens again.

Were any legal proceedings taken in the past after clear instances of race fixi... I mean team orders? I don't think so. I expect that the Renault episode will also end with no criminal prosecution, although, if found guilty, I'd expect Renault to receive a major penalty from the WMSC.

You don't start an "investigation" by granting immunity to everybody except Briatore. ;)
