I have been driving my new '07 coupe for one month (900+miles). I don't notice any Shift Indicator Light (SIL). Am I missing something here? At what speed or rpm does it show itself? Nielsq
are you in race mode? try a notch or 2 lower on the mannetino, and you will see the arrows beside the display that shows what gear you are in... and I'm sure you have an F1, but in case you have a 3 pedal manual car....the display box showing you what gear the car is in is the same place as it is on an F1, but it just doesn't do anything. (just says blank).. Congratulations on the new car..enjoy it in good health.
Using only sport mode, so far. Car is F1. Is SIL only operational in race mode? I did not see that fact in manual. Thanks, Nielsq
SIL is presented in "sport" mode. I suspect you may be missing it if you're driving style is anything but ulta-conservative. The SIL will go out if you're too far past the recommended shift point. Try this - in 1st gear lightly depress the accelerator pedal. If you think think you're conservative, then back off a bit more. You'll then see the SIL (arrow up) next to the selected gear indicator. Shift into next gear; rinse, lather, repeat and you'll be in 6th gear around 40MPH! ...or try taking off the polarized sunglasses!
Doesn't sound like too much fun. As you say, I'm probably missing it. Thanks, Nielsq P.S. I do use polarized sunglasses.
