I have a Euro F355, and and the previous owner had a front plate attached to the front bumper. there are 4 ugly holes there, and i want to utilize them to attach my custom europlate. Damned if i can figure out how to get "in back" of the bumper to attach the bolts. Any hints?

I think you're going to have to go to a body shop and have them take the bumper off... I don't think it's quick or easy, but it isn't impossible. I know when I had my car repainted, they had the front bumper off in no time... seems like there are four bolts holding it on, but I don't know if you can easily access them...

What diameter are the holes in the bumper, could you not use captive nuts (nutserts), the type of fixing which goes in from the front and when tightened mushrooms behind the panel?

    Ah of course!

I did not even think of that. the holes are pretty bigg so i would think those type of nuts should be able to fit in.
