I agree. I was no fan of Lance at the beginning, and I’m certainly not a fan now, but I have to acknowledge that he’s decent at this stage. If the grid is such that he’s the worst out there, then the grid is in reasonable shape.

Man, it's when you start missing Maldonado to "spice" up some of the races and bring some unexpected Safety Cars... LOL.

I would say Tsunoda. Guanyu isn't that great and Vettel still has four times as many points as Stroll.

In fact Stroll has a better track record than many on the grid, including 1 Pole and 3 podiums.

I can't see Alpha Tauri replacing Gasly with Schumacher.

Nor do I see Ricciardo accepting a massive pay cut to drive at Haas.

But I have been proven wrong in the past !!

From all the comments that I've heard, I think Ricci is going to take a Sabbatical, which is probably the best thing for now.
The question will be, which seat will open right for him, if any, in 2023

A sabbatical would be good for Ricci...it would put time and space between him and this season, give him a chance to do some other forms of racing...LeMans, some Indy car rides...and give his agents time to position him for a return in 2024 without it looking desperate.

I agree. I think his driving style willl be more suited to indycar. The 2022 F1 cars have too much weight at the back now and it's something he really struggles to adapt to.

I'd like to see him test a 2023 car at some point next year, if that's successful maybe that can mount a 2024 return. If not that....maybe he enjoys indycar a lot and will do plenty of winning there.

I edited it the way I humbly predict. Mick can go mature for a year and maybe get another chance in future.

Daniel would love Indycar and he would be a perfect fit there.

For me, the silly season is now about who should be replaced but isn't. There are five on the grid who are real fighters with talent. The rest can be replaced at any time. Max, Russell, Sainz, Norris, and maybe the old man, Alonzo, are racers...all the rest are just drivers. I leave out De Vries because it is too soon to really judge him.

If true, Haas went for a temporary fix with Hulkenberg whose career is near the end.

Hulkenberg is a bit like a spare wheel: you only use it when there is no alternative.

If confirmed, this must be seen as a huge blow for Mick Schumacher who apparently also lost the Ferrari patronage.
