Has anyone seen or have knowledge of the Silver 330GTC that's for sale at Canepa's shop in Scotts Valley? It looks great from the photo's. I'm not able to get up to view it anytime soon.

    11143 silver /black 47K mi., a/c, books, most tools.

Purchased new in Manhattan by Sonny Stinson from Chinetti. In 1973 sold it to his brother-in-law, Raymond Ross. Ross kept the car for 15 years, rebuilt the engine at 29,000 miles, and eventually sold it to Hugo Bragoni. Bragoni kept the car until 1988. During that time it was repainted and the carpets and seats redone. In 1997, Bragoni sold the car to Bob Britton, who sold it in 2000 to a doctor in Carmel Valley, CA. Since then it has been maintained by Bill Pound who rebuilt the entire suspension, steering box and transaxle.

They are asking 335K USD for the car. I spoke with Mr. Canepa about the car today. Sounds well sorted. Anyone seen this car in the flesh?

    Hi,

If no one else more knowledgeable is available to look at it I will volunteer. I live very close to Canepa. I could possibly look at it tomorrow.

That's 20% over the most expensive US-based 330GTC I've seen in the past 2 years.... It is even more expensive than my own was, which says something (considering cars in Europe tend to be more expensive in $$$ these days).

#10377 is for sale (on consignment) through Exotic Classics in Long Island. Like the Canepa car, silver over black. Looks nice in photos. Asking $275K which seems high end of market. Listed in FML.

I saw the car a couple of weeks ago. I gave it a cursory look, and based on that it seemed like a very nice, authentic car. I liked it. Bruce impressed me as being a pretty-straightforward guy.

And Dave is a pretty discerning guy. He beat me and my Dino up on the lawn at Cavallino

    Bill,

If you go there could you take a look at the 246GTS? Anyone know what they're asking for it? Canepa's asking prices are typically over market. I don't know what his cars actually sell for, though, or if they're on consignment or his own inventory.

    Jack.

    Hi,

I went by Canepa's this afternoon. The 330 GTC is very nice and I concur with Olimpi's assessment. It looks as nice as similar cars that I have seen at the Monterrey Historics.

The 246 GTS is stunning and looks better than new. I do not know the asking price. If they do not have a price on their web page then a phone call should get it.

Based on the description sheets on both cars they appear to be on consignment but I could be wrong.

My Father was Hugo Bragoni who restored the car and I have not seen it since 1996 when he sold it. The history stated about the car is not accurate, my Father owned the car from about 1985 to 1996 and meticulously restored the entire car with Francios Sicard. When my Father sold the car it was in show condition so hopefully it has been cared for and still is.

not sure you guys are right about the market. id say a great gtc gets over 300. thats what I paid, anyway.

anyway, this isnt the car that was at tom p's shop, is it?

edit - the only silver 330 gtc i see on canepas site had a brown interior and is sold. Canepa must have gotten it from Autosport Designs.

ah, old thread resurrected. explains a lot.

    Yes, confusing isn't it? :)

I agree that in today's market (April 2012) good GTC's go well over 300k.
