What do you guys think a fair price would be for this car? (assuming it has been serivced properly and taken care of) The auction doesn't give much useful info. I emailed the seller regarding the history of the car and am awaiting his response. I would prefer something in the 20-30k mile range, but if it has been taken care of and is the right price, I could be convinced. Personally, I think the silver looks great.

I'll have to check my picture archive when I get home, but I'm almost positive that car had a dark maroon (tobbacco?) interior when it was for sale last year. If it has been redyed, I would be a little concerned the dye would eventually start flaking off the console and seats.

I would definitely be weary if the interior color was changed. The seller responded to me and said the car was completely resprayed, but was done well and it does need a major service. The last major was done at 30k miles, probably around 97 or 98. But, all records are available for the last 16 years.

I'd be interested to see what you find about the interior. Thanks.

I would have the exact concerns...if you look through the shift gate, it looks red to me.

This car is worth low thirties. $3 to $4k for a major, plus any "suprises" along the way....At this age and mileage you have to start being concerned with anything made of rubber on the car....hoses, suspension bushings, rubber brake lines, shock bushings....I would also wonder about the shocks and brakes

    Thanks, Bandit.
I will definitely be staying away from this car. Especially, since I asked several questions about the interior and the seller never mentioned anything about a color change.

That's a shame, the owner sacrificed originality in order to make it more commercially marketable...worse, that quick dye job will probably flake and crack in a few months....long after the previous owner has cashed the check....

Bleh! If it were my car, I would have changed the interior color, too. Silver on red? No wonder he couldn't sell it as-is.
