Silver a bad color for a Testarossa

I don't see any US style side marker lights on the rear fenders either. Thinking this might be a Euro car I went to www.Red-Headed.com and bounced the VIN.

Red-Headed.com says the VIN on ebay is a US version, ZFFLG40A4N0092618

Does anybody have a list/brochure or other (official) information about the colors that were available for the Testarossa?

 

I love silver testarossas. There was one recently posted at Ferrari of Washington. Silver with red hides,I think the combo is stunning.

 

Normally I don't like silver cars, but there is something about the TR in silver that makes it really catch my attention. Normally you always see the TR in red, red and more red. It's nice to see a different color every now and then, and the silver really looks classy.

I think silver looks great. Hides imperfections as well. Personally, I like light color interiors in cars so small with so much glass. But having said that, I love the straight red interior -especially in a silver,grey, or black car

Hawaiian rental?

This car was shipped to the mainland a few years ago along with a white/tan "88. In transport the white car came loose in its container and damaged both bumpers. Its now being parted out here.

Silver Hawaii rental? I'm not sure regarding the silver one? I used to live in Hawaii (Waikiki) and I remember a white Testarossa for rent, but I dont remember any silver one but I could be wrong.

Looks like it sold for $43,100 in 2005 in Hawaii with 31,776 and it now has 33,352 miles 5 years later?

 

I think that the Testarossa looks beautiful in Argento.

 

i love silver TR's hence my user name! My fathers car is for sale i thought the silver TR's were a little rarer than the rest, i suppose not after stumbling across this thread. i do have pictures of the car if anyone feels like searching my threads.

 

I don't think silver suits the Testarossa. Makes it look rather portly and it simply disappears next to a red one. Black and even the Miami Vice Edition white are fine.

The F512M looks best in black, very nice!!

 

About this car, clicking on "History Report" the event dates start in 95.... nothing from 88 to 95.... the only other car I saw like this, had a NEW VIN issued after a total/salvage.
Then the event dates started after new VIN was issued - no records of accident, owners, locations owned, etc PRIOR to that.
Though this car says 3 owners, it very well may be 4-5 with an accident history, and this not being the original VIN issued on car.
On the 87 MB-SL I was referring to, when they put VINS on windshield pillar vs. underneath glass, that Tag was cut out & you could tell replaced with another one. Just FYI gentlemen.

 

Hey, just my vote. I saw one at Lime Rock that was silver and thought it looked great. Good luck with your search.

 

Looks like the silver on eBay (the old rental car from Hawaii) did sell for 35,000 recently.

RHD only around 450 ish made so wonder of those how few silver ones. Must be rare. Original paint and interior.
