Just got the green light this morning for 165 tech speed in the Gallardo.
I understand Rick's F-40 will there also in same tech speed class. They had the same structural issues with the F-40 as the Gallardo but we are both going!
I'll be trying for last place (closest to 160 MPH average)

This will have more "exotics" than Silverstate is accustomed to!

Another Gallardo will be entered also but he is a first timer and
will have to run in slower class.. but he'll have a blast!

I will not be going this time around. Getting ready for the Players Run.
I could only get a 165 tech with the F40. Hell, we go that fast on the FDC drives......

At PPIR (Col) I had the pleasure to "test" a Gallardo. Well, I must say that I was very impressed by that car. Maybe to much Audi here and there but the engine/chassis was perfect. weight could be felt during high speed turns but the "quatro" system did his job. Brakes were spectacular, the motor pushes like bats out of hell and gives a run to the 360. When I drove the Stardale, the light weight was the answer to the Lambo, otherwise no 360 could stay
behind. It's a big step forward from the Murcierlargo.
After all that "testing" I was happy to go on the track in my LM !!!

The F40 has a steel tube hoop behind the driver and passenger. It also has a down bar in the back. There is also a steel tube X over the driver and passenger. All these things are the making of an Unlimeted tech. It also has a very high steel box frame for a sill. The rules call for two door bars (as if a box isn't stronger?) so they would only tech to 165. I was looking for a 180. Had I brought the car there and started taking it apart I *MAY* have changed their minds....
    Live is too short,
    Have Fun,
