I was at the Radnor concours on Sunday and they honored Frederick Simeone. There was an article about him in the program that lists him as owning like 80 cars. Does anyone know if he owns any significant Ferrari's or does anyone have any pictures of his collection?

(Dr) Fred Simeone has probably the outstanding collection of racing sports cars in the United States. He has a number of pre-war Alfa Romeos, including the 2.9 which won the Mille Miglia; the only Cunningham C4R in private hands, the ex-Phil Spector Cobra Daytona coupe, recently the subject of quite a bit of publicity -- it was the "lost" Cobra Daytona coupe. The collection is (or will be) open as a museum, with an emphasis on programs for children.

He has the first "production" 250 TR, chassis 0710, and the ex-William Holden 375 MM Pinin Farina Spyder -- I think the chassis is 0382 MM. It's a great original example of the car. Those are the only two Ferraris I remember, but there may be one or two more.

I didn't know he had been honored. Fred Simeone is a very dedicated and sincere collector, and the honor was well deserved.

Does anyone know if you can currently view his collection? This was a very interesting article about him in the program for the show.
