I checked the search and couldnt really find an answer so I'll give it a try. Does the Bypass open under throttle pressure or over 4K rpm at any given time? Mine is always activated by throttle pressure(75% or so) in any gear but from my understanding I thought it still is supposed to open over 4K RPM with less throttle input? I have a '95 MY with Capristo Stage 2 or 3(cant tell) and hi Flow cats. Appreciate the help and sorry if this was discussed and I missed it!
There is an RPM threshold in each gear and later for 2nd gear I believe. I think there must be a TPS threshold as well because if I bring up the rpm's with low throttle input the valve doesn't open. So, not sure what the threshold is but I believe there is one for rpm and tps that must be met. (or seems so on my car)
Bypass valve opens: 80% throttle + Various RPM thresholds based on what gear you are in. I had the RPM / gear detail and posted it here a while back. I'll try and find it later.
