After installing the sport CAT I feel the engine compartment becomes hotter, so I removed 2 pcs. of metal plates at the back, I actually can feel the hot air rushes out from there.

    any disadvantage guys??

I have already done that, 2 years ago, I think it is there simply to stop the external rear grill from getting tooooo hot to touch

Strange that, I felt that after fitting sports cats my engine bay got a whole lot COOLER...

What brand of sports cats are you using?

Perhaps you could get your new cats ceramic coated?

True but the challenge rear grill has no cover plates, I even checked with the dealer, and they cannot tell what those plates for.

To 360 Trev, the Fabspeed, no ceramic coating, people told me it's no good to have coating on the CAT, it was in my other thread.

Don't melt your trunk release cable.

Photo shoot in a bikini, got out leaned up on it as the story goes, saw a picture she had a very faint "pinkish/red" weave on her toosh.....was not a bad burn, looked more like she had been slapped on the butt, nonetheless it was a warm area.

The cable is covered by foil, just like what dealer do to scud. I don't think is that hot to melt the cable for F430, but the Scud do get very hot at the back.
