Yeah, they were about 35K new. I bought mine used in '02 from the dealer I worked for at the time. They had it on the lot for 29K, but I scored it for 23K since I worked there. Not a bad deal.
174mph (280km/h) in a testrarossa. In Toronto on the 404 early morning. If you get caught in Ontario over 150km/hr they will inpound your car for a week and give you a $2,000 fine. I don't think I'll be doing those speeds that often.
124 on the HD V-rod this past Saturday. 131 in Gallardo and 127 Aston Martin in Az in Sept, playing catch up 126 in Ford GT was a short run of highway north of Atlanta. 130 in Porsche 928 S4 in WV on Hwy 64 128 in C4 vet way back in '93.
Yep! When I was 19 in a BMW Z3. I was driving at 132 m.p.h.(only because of a chip on the car, would have went faster if I could have) on a public freeway... I said then that I will never do that again on a public road. I am now 29.
How many grains of sand are in a huge hour glass? I've done it many more times than that, although I track often to keep my passions there these days.
158mph in my old '95 RX-7. Just happened to get on an empty freeway and rung it out. Nice cruiser up to 140.
...over 122 many times on my R1 Yamaha...fastest of 150 (100 over the speed limit on that road) indicated this past summer...of course the bike is just getting into it's stride at 100...and it only takes about 5.5 seconds to get to 100...it should count double doing it on a bike...if you don't believe me just try it!
I drove a Suzuki bla bla something 1100 some years ago, 235kmh on a 70 road, and after that I never drove it again. And i'm not proud over it. My brothers old 1996 Volvo 850R with stage 2 ship in it managed 270kmh on autobahn in Germany. Thats fun.
135 in my 308 QV, once only, but often up to 120. Road was empty but surface wasn't the greatest and it was bounced around like a kangaroo. 135 once in my 2001 C200 Merc, often up to 120. Funny that I needed an engine rebuild about 2 months later after one of the valve lifters seized - coincidence? The car had only 50 000 miles on it, was 3 years old and I was the first owner ....
I buried the speedometer over 140mph in my 88' Trans-Am GTA a few times back in the day. I haven't had a fast car since. I got into 4WD's.
A month ago in Italy... Best country to drive fast ;-) In Canada, you get your car confiscated if you get caught over 150 km/h on the highway...
Lie? Why? Do you think LE visits this website and would use this info to justify cracking down on us drivers whether we are one of these high offenders or not? Doing something illegal and then posting about it in a public forum, hmmm... .
An indicated 235 km/hr (146 mph) in my old Subaru WRX. Very close to topping it out, and still rock steady. Very empty and straight 4-lane road, used as a runway for jets in an emergency. Numerous runs on Malaysian highways up to about 220 km/hr (138 mph). Hit speeds of around 210 km/hr (132 mph) at the end of the straights on a roadcourse. All runs over 200 km/hr were done on ZR-rated tyres, for short periods.
I think my max speed was 181MPH on a race track... I was not driving... personal fast is 175 ish at Paul Ricard in a Lola race car...
Well, law enforcement does visit this website, but I'm not going to track anybody down! I've done 130+ mph in my Audi A6 twin turbo, which was pretty smooth and seemed to have plenty more to go. I'd regularly break 120 mph on my drives from northern Utah to southern Utah and back on I-15. I did 128 behind the wheel of an unmarked Charger Police cruiser. Hit about 121-122 mph in my 2002 Honda Civic and feared for my life. I thought i would be more stable, but then again, it was down quite a steep grade. This is always done on an open road with clear visability. I've never stopped a car for going these speeds, and would be a little reluctant on citing for the full speed. I try not to be a hypocrit ALL the time. EDIT: corrected speed for Charger...typo.
Going to Montreal this year for F1 weekend. Not my car of course, etc. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Well the question is "Simple Poll - have you ever gone over 122 mph?" Answer is: "yes, by about 500 or more MPH at the Airshow this last spring, you didn't mention car..." Image Unavailable, Please Login
fasted on four wheels i think 145 on the autobahn in a mitsubishi galant sv i think that was it, on two wheels 186 but actual reading on gps said 174
