One of the frustrating things about the 458 is the lack of documentation for the infotainment center. I am constantly finding (and losing) submenus that have all sorts of neat little tricks.

With the regular nav screen on, if you push the right joystick knob down, you will get a cross hairs that you can move around on the map. Pushing the joystick knob in will give you a small submenu that says go (to the location of the cross hairs) or options. If you enter the options menu, the last option says "Simulate route". This appears to try and direct you to the location of the cross hairs in just the same way as if you had selected GO.

Any ideas about how a simulated route is different from a non-simulated route, and when you might use one instead of the other?
