It was Scott's (JSA330) idea, thank him, I'm just the one that told him no a few times and then created the poll. :D

Rob, you did the right thing and handled it the democratic way...put it up for vote, and the majority prevailed. You deserve the thank-yous as much as anyone!

    Bravo Rob!

So where do we start? I sense a pause ..... and so offer this suggestion to kick things off. Car designers have long photographed their creations in front of sexy buildings as a way to further their cars. Recent examples include ads by Mercedes and Lexus in front of Calatrava's Bilbao Airport. And architects have parked sexy cars in front of their buildings for similar reasons. Doing so reveals how the cars and architecture have great affinity.

So what building would you associate with this wonderful one-off Zagato?

It would be fine with many buildings, but a particular street...the Via Veneto in Rome...comes right to mind.

Thanks also to whoever found all the old threads and moved them to the new forum!

Contrast works for me too. That's a beautiful, sleek car (though I'm a huge Zagato fan, so I would say that - a friend used to have an Alfa SZ and unlike everyone else I ever spoke to about it, I thought that was a stunning car too). I'd love to see some pics of it in an industrial setting, possibly a disused dock or something with lots of rusting metal in the background - that'd look stunning...

That's definitely contrast...I was going for context.

Jon...house only reputedly from FLW's office, car definitely not a Zagato oneoff, but for what it's worth...

Scott no time to reply in depth today. Interesting house. I would bet a knok-off. Don't think Wright's office would have allowed the house to sit so high on the site. Best I can do in response today is this - taken this weekend in the Sierra Foothills....

    ;)

Yup, that's mine, and the compliment is much appreciated.

Actually the car was very grimy at the time I took the pic on saturday. I washed it sunday morning to go visit an old friend who hadn't seen it yet and I must say it does look good.

Your GTS is absolutely stunning, BTW.

Scott - thanks! But this is my prefered view...

Really like the houses you've put up under Tradtional! Would like to see more of these - both cars and houses.

    ;)

Jon...agreed, the best view of all. Reminds me of yesterday..I took my friend and his wife for a good blast down the freeway in the 330.

I'll be putting up a lot more trad houses as well as good moderns, old and new for both.

Dallas has a wide variety of good residential work. Glad you're interested.

Vintage Ferrari on-road sightings are very rare, like once a year when I see greg512tr in one of his collection, or the odd 400i or similar.
