    hi, i m new to fchat n appreciate that probably a lot has been said b4 about this subject but i am still torn betwn going for the pipes or the cats for my360cs with tubi ngt. anyone out there tried either? i hear hyperflow cats r good but thyre quite expensive, the pipes wld be cheaper but concerned abt super loud n loss of low end torque (since i drive the car as daily driver n hv to do a fair bit of city driving.) also is there really an appreciable improvemnt overall?

    Welcome mate. U should join us for drives & we have one in a few hours time. Some of the owners have vast experience with CS & like so they can share.

    Meanwhile, I think you'll get better response if you post your Qs under 360 section where the experts there will have better opinions.

    CS is already quite loud as stock & your neighbours won't be impressed. Some after mkt cats can cause "check lights" so please search before ordering. Most people do the main box swap but Cat replacements are usually half the price of that & may gain some Bhp. The loudest way is to install race or straight throughs but u might need earplugs in your car!

    Tim! What a user name :) thought u should've been here eons ago.

    That you can ask Lung & one or perhaps two other might have owned it before.

    Have you posted in 360 section yet? More gurus there for sure. I just saw a video of J. Clarkson comparing the CS & the 996GT3RS with a stint by Stig who clocked exactly the same time! Absolutely entertaining! check it out in youtube.

    u know me- very low tech lecheh to use computer.posted in 360 section but no real response- anyway ,will try sport cats probably. may need ecu remap- any good recommendations?

    hmmm. ecu? Looks like they recommend this Rob from DMS since Mao has a partner in it & he comes here very often so after sales svc is there.

    I've installed sports cats without issue before but some says the check engine light will come on for a while during cold start etc.

    Btw, don't u think a CS is loud enough? You sure your neighbours are fine with it? ;)

    Remap the ECU. U know Rob rite... in fact you were the one that introduced him to me back in 2004.
    I did it on the CS... awesome! you will get more pull. It also revs alot longer all the way up.... but the exhaust note will change to a deeper note.

    thing is ny car is mao's ex car n i think he already remapped thru rob presumably. after swtiching to the tubi tho, i believe the parametershv changed n need a re-remap? probably best to do it after installing the cats. n my cel is perenially on!!! v irritating

    thi fchat thing very confusing with different threads . sorry to be somewhat behind on responses etc .too much for a lowtechie like me!
