    Has anyone heard anything regarding postponements of the race? I am in Singapore this week, they have canceled many other events due to the haze coming over from the fires in Sumatra. Air quality is the worst I have ever seen.

    They probably wont make an announcement till the actual day of the race. 2013 Indian GP was smog filled and only 1 session was delayed.

    How will they decide if the race will go ahead or not? Does it hinge upon whether the medical helicopter can fly?

    That's certainly a big factor. AFAIK, if the chopper can't fly they simply won't run. At least it was always that way under Sid and Hartstein's watches.

    Now, maybe given where it is I'd suspect (but certainly don't know) there's likely a hospital "inside" the circuit. Or at least real close. Whether that'll satisfy the requirements is another question.

    It was the case for Indian GP but it was only a delay of 20mins. There was also a delay with USA GP with fog a few years ago.

    Just a little haze won;t disrupt anything.

    The air quality here is horrible, but life goes on.

    Just turn up the contrast and do a curves to the TV signal and the smog will almost disappear (to the TV viewer.....)

    Anyhow, it seems windy these days, and rainy too. I don't think it's gonna be an issue either way. They have not cancelled any flights, so should be a go.
