He just had elbow surgery two weeks ago and has limited feeling AND range of motion in his hands (according to the Speed broadcasters). Sounds like he's got a long ways to go still before F1 is a reasonable proposition.
Ferrari and MB are rumored to be running an interesting type of hydraulic suspension. It's a type of crosslink suspension setup that has never been proven to exist on W02 (that I know of). My understanding is that it works as a sort of anti-dive arrangement- directing hydaulic pressure from the highest loaded corner, to the lowest (cross corner). I don't fully know or understand the details but Ferrari are supposedly running it as well. This type of arrangement is great for mechanical grip. I bet they both ran this in Monza as well a both MB and Ferrari were #1 and #2 in sector 1 (by a good margin) which is known to be a mechanical balance and grip dependent sector.
That sounds exactly like Audi's DRC suspension that is on my RS4. Its been very unreliable for Audi and they just now seemed to have fixed the problems with it leaking with the newest revision of shocks. http://www.audiusa.com/us/brand/en/tools/advice/glossary/dynamic_ride_control.browser.html
Or has modern tech simply allowed the idiots to believe that they are not as dumb as they really are?. (how to tell a Moron from an imbecile: Tell a moron he's a dumb and he'll want to fight you because he cannot handle being told how dumb he is. Tell an imbecile he's dumb and he'll just laugh at you because he doesn't care how dumb he is!).
That being the case, how come Vettel was so much quicker than Alonso coming into the Variant della Roggia chicance when he took the lead?
A heart for the underdogs. How sweet. Renault would love to have that situation, but they know they won't. Kubica is done for. Renault knew that since March and planned accordingly.
(Apologies, I cannot recall at the moment who to correctly credit this to...) "Don't bother trying to make anything idiot proof. As soon as you do, nature will evolve a more efficient idiot."
You are right, of course. The team has to move forward and plan as if Kubica will not return. That is only prudent management. Ensuring a solid backup plan and bringing additional drivers on board is the only reasonable response. Can RK race in Formula 1 again? I don't know. I don't have that level of insight into his condition. Would I like to see him back in the car even for a limited stint? Definitely!
It's nice to be prudent but let's be realistic: His hand/forearm was almost severed. And that in a brutal way. Nannini's arm was cut off cleanly by the helicopter blade, put in ice and attached by some Italy's best neuro surgeons. And he never sat in a F1 cockpit again. Not that far fetched what Kubica's outcome will be.
I can't figure out if I should be offended or not. What does that make me? Think long and hard before answering.
Variante is a much quicker chicane isn't it? Rettifilo Tribune goes down to 80kph while Variante is over 115kph. That would be my only hypothesis on that.
Thanks man - I tried and turns out it is a no-go for Mac users. Oh well - I will try to find something else or wait until I get cable.
Actually only during the beginning of the season did they have issues. RB is the team which had the most issues with KERS this season. Surprising right?
