So what channel is qualifying found on? The only time I see it is Saturday night/Sunday morning at 12am on NBCSports? Nothing showing on CNBC or NBC. I don't care about a minor delay to reair because I watch it delayed anyway, but that late of a,showing is ridiculous. ****ing English Premier Soccer.
Yeah, midnight at DISH, and the freaking race at 6am. WTF? Nascar crap, I bet . Oh well. Will probably watch just Q3 and then the race when I wake up, like always .
NBC Sports has thoroughly ticked me off so far this season. We used to complain when Speed cut short a post race show to switch over to NASCAR. And we did complain long and loud. But after six months of having to search every other week to try to find whether, when and where the race was going to be aired... At least on Speed you knew they were going to obey their NASCAR overlords and you might take a back seat. With NBC anything and everything bumps us. Randomly. And if you do watch the tape delayed broadcast, make sure you don't look at the bottom of the screen. They have a habit of scrolling the race results along the bottom while airing the race. Bastards. And still no GP2.
I still can't find anything about when qualifying for Singapore will be on, either live or delay. Anyone know? Why are they keeping it a secret? Intentionally or ineptness?
Went looking on Twitter to see what folks were saying on this topic. Lots of unkind and off colour words for NBC Sports. Advice from Leigh Diffey, "watch it live streaming on your computer." To the fan who said no, he wanted to watch from his couch, not sitting at his desk, "hook your computer up to your TV. Problem solved." When informed that computer and TV were in different rooms, Mr. Hobbs suggested "Get a loooooong cable." I gather the on air personalities don't much like it either, but can't really do or say anything about it. So, I plan to stay off the internet all day tomorrow, record the qualifying at 1:00 AM Sunday, then get up bright and early to watch it before watching the race live at 9:00.
Just download the Sky/BBC coverage around noon tomorrow and push it to the tv. That's what I'll do. This is not ideal though.
Sky or BBC for me as well. I'm curious if NBC even plans on carrying F1 next year considering the complete lack of interest they've shown this year. Just as well... I have no interest in supporting NBC anyway.
Even as an English soccer fan, I gotta say, "that's bull****!". Anyway - dunno the story, but watching FP2 on NBC earlier, Buxton noted that if the Americas Cup is done today (?), they *may* air it earlier!..... In other words, beware of catching the end, and/or pay more attention to the AC than I've been doing. Sky is my buddy tomorrow. Cheers, Ian
Mac brethren, download Mozilla Firefox and use it to get to Ferrari Chat, then click on Speedcore's links. It's as simple as that. I was about to blow a gasket trying to figure out what the issue was with Safari (flash).
Thanks guys. I doubt I'll watch it online. I have a tv for a reason of course. I'm busy Sunday morning so I'll be watching everything very delayed. May not watch the race until Sunday night. I guess I'll be drinking beer instead of coffee while watching the race. It is bull**** though. And it doesn't make sense that they don't air it on CNBC as they have in the past. Why past races but not Singapore?
NBC here is the link 9 AM Eastern NBC Sports I am trying to see if my ipad ap will be able to get it and if it does I can send it to the apple tv so I can watch it on tv. This sucks worse than Speed delaying the F1 recap so the NASCAR fans could watch a REURUN of NASCAR. I like Soccer as much as the next guy. It will be rerun at 1AM Sunday since the America's Cup is not over. Stephen
To be fair the on air personalities don't make that call. Asking them to defend it to the fans is unreasonable. What are they going to say in public? "My boss is ******".
Both NBC and Fox are totally comitted to shoving soccer down our throats. I guess they can buy it cheap. What are there, like 60 soccer leagues? Have they ever heard of "pushing on a string"?
That's dedication *way* beyond what they deserve!..... Good for you! Remember you've also gotta stay away from not just the 'net but also any TV's that are showing any sport with a "scroll" on the bottom.... I was camping (!) one W/E - No problem, I'll watch it all when I get home. Walked in to a bar on the way home, glanced at (the only!) TV in the place only to see "XXX wins YYY GP" scroll on by! I couldn't even look away! Good luck disconnecting! Cheers, Ian
If you have UVerse, it's on channel 1658 at 9:00 AM EST Saturday , but it's in spanish. Inglish is at 12:00 AM!
Completely forgot the Spanish coverage - Good call. Can't recall where that is on DTV, but I do know it's there somewhere.
I'm just curious what the America's Cup ratings have ben. NBC-Sports has shown every race live... (America's Cup fan,... but I don't know many others watching) Are their more viewers for that than F1? Really?
I just checked and saw that Singapore qualifying is on NBCSN at 1 am EDT Sunday, the pre-race show at 7:30 am and the race at 8:00 am. Took a while to post the qualifying info but at least it is going to be broadcast.
