That's a real shame. Here goes a true legend of the past, who left a big mark in motor racing. R.I.P Sir Jack.
I'm devastated He lived down the road from me but only ever saw him at motorsport events Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
A legend! RIP Sir Jack... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNfq310iOTI]Repco Brabham - The Fantastic Year ICMR - YouTube[/ame]
Very sorry to hear this sad news. He was a great champion and a tribute to Australia. We met him at Goodwood a few years ago. My wife stood in line for more than an hour to meet him. R.I.P.
pragmatic, innovative, and tough as old boots; a seminal figure in the development of the modern race car- today has passed one of motorsports true greats.
3 time champ alone is amazing, much less doing one with your own team and car, and then having your team-mate win the next!
If I still had it I'd put a black stripe on it Loved that car, a Brabham BT29 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thats what I had too ! Small world. Built like a jewel and if one looks at the F1 car they were very similar but with a V-8 instead of a 4.
And Kunimitsu Takahashi thinks he invented the drift ... Note also how neatly placed the inside front wheel is Pete
Sad. R.I.P. But as was said, he lived as good a life as one can hope for. Good luck on the next lap S.J.B.
