Six figure Enzo in Philly

i havent seen it personally at Algar yet, based on the fact i have had a busy weekend. On Monday i will drive over and talk to the sales guys about it.

 

That's 134297... Used to be in Florida...

There's a yellow one currently for sale in the FML at Modena Motorsport; $970,000 USD... The catch is, it's a Euro spec car (133512)... You'd have to have it converted, i guess... The car used to be in Monaco, now it's in Australia...

 

It's funny when you see something "in the six figure" and think "damn, prices have been going down!". LMAO.

 

YUP.

Other than one very small paint chip on the passenger side air intake, the car was perfect.

And to add. I talked to the sales guy about the car on Saturday.

They have had a lot of tire kickers, but no solid deal yet.

They feel the car is "very fairly" priced, and should not take long to sell.

Yes, 134297 is and has always been a US spec Enzo... With Euro spec, i was referring to the yellow one, 133512...

 

There ain't a snowball's chance in hell that this car is going out for a test drive.

You either know and want the car, or you don't.

And, we don't mention the F50 incident in polite company. Every one there I'm sure has heard enough about that to last a lifetime.

Why is there always a maserati or ferrari parked outside the dealership on sunday all the time. I have never gone by there on a sunday and not seen one.

On September 16th, 2003, some smooth talker went into Algar and pretended he was looking to buy an F50... The salesman took him out for a ride in the car... At some point, the salesman got out and that's when the guy jumped from the right seat to the left seat and took off... Algar immediately notified the authorities, but it was too late... The car hasn't been seen since... S/N 103494...

Now, that F50 wasn't Algar's - it was on consignment from one of their customers... Algar's stellar reputation remains unscathed though - the Enzo they have for sale now belongs to the same guy who owned the F50 that was stolen.


This theft wasn't an isolated incident, though... It was the third of its type in 2003... On April 26th, a red/tan 328, S/N 80120, was stolen from Sport Auto in NC... On July 15th, a red/tan Testarossa, S/N 59133, was stolen from Gullwing Motors in Long Island City (no, it wasn't me)... It's speculated the cars were driven to a nearby location and loaded onto a truck and shipped somewhere outside of the US.

 

WOW, Never knew about this!! I heard about the F50 incident, but never knew the details!

 

wow thats horrible. what a jackass. all the more reason to have lojack put in those kinds of cars espcially.

i would just like to point out that this statement isn't completely accurate... The F50 that was stolen did, at one point, belong to the same person who owned the Enzo they have for sale now, but said person did NOT own it when it was on consignment at Algar... Sorry for any confusion...
