Hello please I need some help I have a 328 1986 that has developed a fuel smell while in the garage. There are no signs of fuel leaks in the engine bay.

start with moving the car outside, to a "gas vapor free zone". Then, start sniffing around whilst in the gas free environment. That way, if /when you smell it, it will not be the smell from surrounding saturated gas vapor air (garage), but it wil be the area truly you have just sniffed out.

Then, look for oozing.leaks/"wet" drizzles, etc. Its a start, anyway. good luck, man.
