    The current SL is soulless in my opinion. Does nothing for me, especially when seeing it with its predecessors.

    Mercedes-Benz just took all of their current design language, slapped it on a car and lopped the roof off.

    The AMG GT is what this S class should've been.

    agree, the SLS/GT should have been the SL.

    I think part of the problem is for so long the SL had no competition...now there's a ton of cars in the six figure roadster category, many of which are way cooler (M6 Cabrio, F Type, Maser, Cali T, Bentley GTC)

    I currently have the 2015 SL 63 AMG and it's quite frankly a little boring. It's a great DD and I've driven them for years. I think I'm gonna replace it with the MBZ GT when it comes out in a convertable. I'm not sold on the 2017 AMG because it appears to be so similar to the 2015.
